About Ghost Revolution

In Ghost Revolution, humanity’s grasp of science inadvertently alters the world’s balance, as physicist Dr. Micah joins the Astral Project under Dr. Yang’s leadership to unseal the Astral Plane. Their actions unleash ghosts upon the earth, setting the stage for a revolution where ghosts rise to dominance over the next 200,000 years. The story follows Rai, an esper human, working as a delivery carrier, who partners with Liàng in a world now ruled by ghosts.

Ghost Revolution is a concept for a comic I created on December 27th, 2015. It’s a passion project inspired by manga involving youkai. As a huge fan of mythologies, paranormal, and manga, I wanted to create a story that encompasses every that I love in fictional media and create my own story with it. Ghost Revolution is hugely inspired by manga involving youkai and monsters such as: Yuyu Hakusho, Nurarihyon no Mago, Ushio and Tora, Devilman, Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Kekkaishi, Mononoke, GeGeGe no kitaro. Alternatively, a lot of donghua that involves yaoguai, also inspired Ghost Revolution.

Ghost Revolution is a love letter to all my favorite manga, my fav tropes, my fav themes. It is a personal project, I am making mostly for myself and the close friends in my life, that I want to share with the world. I hope you all enjoy Ghost Revolution!
