Hello! I made it to December. A lot going on in my real life. I’ll speak on that at the end of this post.

…and decided to do it. My friend Weenie suggested that I do Pavi and Sonmir for it, which was perfect! Sonmir has a crush on Pavi, she’s a lot taller than him, so this fits perfect! It’s up in my gallery now!

Here’s Sonmir and Pavi. This is them torwards the end of the comic with as little spoilers I can do.

Sonmir has a crush on Pavi through-out the series, and it is going to be very fun to draw them interacting~

“Qilin” form he uses to visit Pavi before she discovered it was him.

Sonmir has 4 forms. His actual se;f, what he looks like as he was born, the form he uses the majority of the comic is mostly used because he wants to look more “normal”. His “qilin” form, which is called that because it resembles a qilin(or kirin, for my weebs). His dragon form, which is limited because he is inable to control it. The metal braces on his neck, wrists, and ankles are there to prevent him from using his dragon form.

Dragon form????? Sonmir’s father is THE Azure Dragon of the East: Qinglong

Sonmir’s mother, Samariah, is a cattle-based ghost. She has space-related powers, which is why both her and Sonmir have stars and constellations on their outfits. She’s also one of the most powerful ghosts in GR and the youngest of the High Apex ghosts, at ~200-year-old. Normally ghosts are 1000+ to achieve her level of power. She doesn’t have a big role in the story. She’s mostly known to harbor ghosts from other territories as refugees. Snake-snake village(first major arc of GR) is located in Samariah’s territory, which is why you meet Sonmir there.

Anyway…

Sonmir’s actual self. This is what he looks like as he was born. He’s insecure about his looks, so he reduces a lot of his features to appear more “normal.” He’s also considered illegitimate to inhereit Qinglong’s role as the dragon of the East. His elder half-sisters(Qinglong’s daughters) will take Qinglong’s place. Qinglong is in an arranged marriage, so he’s basically having an affair with Sonmir’s mother.

Reduced features due to his insecurities. These are old pictures, but his design hasn’t changed that much.

and now SIGH.. for the more serious stuff……………….

There’s a lot going with my health. I have a minor operation and a biopsy this month on my thyroid. I have a very large goiter.
